Thank you God for another day!

Thank you O God for taking us along day after day. And thank you O God for blessing us with the priceless company of our mentor philosopher guide and we do not know how years after years both difficult and enjoyable have passed and I suddenly find myself in the twilight years of my life. 

Thank you O God for choosing our family to be blessed spiritually by the invaluable guidance of top saints of those times. I feel blessed for I was  only ten years old then. Then in 1972 you O Merciful God sent another unfathomably rich soul in our lives to grace our family and I was most extremely lucky to be asked by no one else but him to be initiated in the spiritual order. I can understand now how different would have been our life without his spiritual company. 

Thank you O God for a life like the one we have. And,

Thank you God for another day!

Thank you O God for blessing us with the invaluable presence of our mentor philosopher guide and thank you for taking us under  his protective wings so that we live safely and securely when people all over the world are living in an atmosphere of fear violence killings and (if that is not enough) natural calamities like floods storms earthquakes tsunami or drought. We pray on behalf of them for forgiveness and breathe gratitude for being so kind to us. Thank you O God for all the good you’ve done to us and pray for mercies blessings and forgiveness for the rest of our life.

Thank you O God for taking good care of us day in and day out, like giving us good food, clothes, and home comfort of a family, fairly good health and above all the valuable spiritual company and guidance of our mentor philosopher guide. We are grateful to him for now we take immense pleasure in giving rather than taking. We are thankful to him for now we have a heart that feels, hands that help and serve and eyes that look for such an opportunity.

Thank you O God for blessing us with the lifetime spiritual company of our mentor philosopher guide and even if I repeat this with each breath of mine for the rest of my life, that wouldn’t be enough. Life became easier with his spiritual presence and thank you O God for taking us along in life through bad times and good times and here I am sure it was only because of the spiritual presence of our mentor philosopher guide that we were able to pass on without losing our balance. During bad times he poured special shower of love on us and tricked us in such a way that we held on to hope and faith and we believed everyday that good times were just round the corner. During good times he cautioned us not to go overboard but keep thanking him every now and then.

Thank you O God for giving everything you have so far and continuing to give. We can never ever count all you’ve blessed us with but we certainly can pick the best and that undoubtedly is the benign company of our mentor philosopher guide who in fact has taught us how to live, how to love, how to look for opportunities to help people, animals and birds. How well he’s taught us the fact: the best way to live for yourself is to live for others!

Thank you O God for showing us countless miracles every moment here there and everywhere . Thanks to our mentor philosopher guide for having developed in us those finer sensibilities for we’re now able to look at the flowers and simply wonder in bewilderment to see the colours and the designs and how they’ve emerged from the secrets of the Mother Earth and how it is managed that the fragrance the colours and designs of a Rose are different from those of say a Mogra or a Chameli.

Likewise O God when we eat a mango we are amazed how one kind of mango is managed to be different in shape, colour of the flesh, its texture, its aroma and its taste from the other: say a dusseri from a langra.

Each moment thus O God is a marvellous revelation and we cannot but stand in wonder and awe to realise your magnanimity your magnificence and our minuscule existence.

Thank you O God for blessing us with the most precious spiritual company of our mentor philosopher guide who not only opened up one more aspect to our way of life that has brought about a sea-change in our attitude and approach to life but also enriched us immensely in terms of a balanced development in personalities taking care of our soul along with mind and body. For example, before he came into our life,we used to pray lackadaisically, that is, we went through the motions and there was no pleasure! We prayed because we had to, even if we didn’t want to. Now we pray because we want to and there is immense pleasure in our prayers.
